Achiever of the Month for May 2008

Robert has been with Goodwill since September 1991. He learned how to do a variety of jobs while working at the Goodwill Retail Store on Church Street. He hung clothes, took out the trash, and helped move the boxes that the donations came in. Robert also got into a good bit of trouble as he liked to pick items up and put them in his pocket and would wander off into the store without telling anyone.

Robert moved to Goodwill's Route 85/Buckeystown Pike store in 1997. He liked working there and, with the help of his job coach, a lot of his old habits disappeared and his work began to improve. Robert loves working at Goodwill and gets along well with everyone. Robert used to only hang about 40 pieces of clothing per day and he now hangs around 125 to 150 pieces. We have seen a big improvement in his performance during the past year and are very proud of Robert’s progress.
