Achiever of the Month for March 2008
Virginia has worked for some time in Goodwill®'s processing department hanging clothes. She used to always hang from 200 to 250 pieces of clothing per day and insisted that everything be neat and orderly. Unfortunately Virginia's eyesight has been deteriorating over the past two years. She has had four eye surgeries over the past two years, with no success. She is now legally blind and has a lot of difficulty getting around without bumping into everything. Of course, Goodwill®'s staff provides Virginia with all of the help and support that she needs to continue her work. Virginia is starting to feel more secure and is now able to hang 75 to 80 items per day. Virginia takes pride in her work and is determined to increase the number of items she hangs each day.
