ASSISTANCE WITH HOUSEHOLD, CLOTHING, FURNITURE
Our Community Alliance to Request Emergency Services (C.A.R.E.S.) Program is a communitywide partnership program designed by our Goodwill® to address EMERGENCY needs of people in the Frederick and Carroll County areas. By issuing certificates to eligible individuals and families, our organization helps to provide essential items such as clothing, household items and bed sets to be purchased from any of our seven Goodwill retail stores.
Emergency needs may be circumstances such as:
-
job loss of primary family wage-earner
-
homelessness
-
sudden illness in family that creates need
-
flooding of family residence
Goodwill® staff only issues C.A.R.E.S. certificates to individuals enrolled in a Goodwill® job training program and in need of emergency help. The majority of C.A.R.E.S. certificates are issued by one of Goodwill’s partner agencies.
If you are a nonprofit agency serving people in Frederick or Carroll counties in need of C.A.R.E.S. certificates for your clients, please contact Cindy Freeman, Director of Workforce Development at (301-662-0622) ext. 205 or cfreeman@gimv.org for more information about this program.
