    After donating, where can I obtain a receipt?

    Goodwill provides electronic (or paper, whichever you prefer) donation receipts; stating we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. You can obtain a receipt after donating, the following ways:

    Goodwill Retail Store and Donation Centers

    donating photo When you drop off items to any of our 8 Retail Store & Donation Center locations during operating hours, you can obtain a receipt through the dock attendant.



    Goodwill Free Standing Bins

    After donating to one of our free-standing bins that are conveniently located around the community, simply scan the QR  code located on the side of the bin to access our  receipt portal. We ask that you only donate smaller items, like clothing, books or housewares to those bins.

    Donation Drive or Goodwill At Your Door Pick-Up

    Westview Columbia Bank**If you have donated to a donation drive or a home pick up, you can use the form below to enter in your donations and a receipt will be emailed to you.  Please note, only donation receipts that are generated by one of our Kiosks or Scanned QR Codes are recorded into Club Goodwill ( formally, iDonate). By utilizing the form below, the emailed receipt is your only record for that donation.

    Tax Deductions

    Goodwill’s Online Receipt Portal, Club Goodwill is currently experience technical difficulties.

    Please retain your donation receipt for your tax records.

    Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. To claim a deduction,
    the donor determines fair market value of the contributions. Federal law provides that clothing and household goods must be in “good used condition or better” in order to qualify for tax deductions.

    IRS Guidelines

    If you itemize deductions on your federal tax return, you are entitled to claim a charitable deduction for your Goodwill donations. To determine the estimated values of your donation for tax purposes, visit the IRS website.
