Because They Served: GIMV’s Veteran Services Program Includes Training, Support and More

We help put people to work. Our mission remains as simple as that, but it represents the least we can do for our military heroes. And thanks to your monetary and physical donations, Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley offers much more than job training to those who put so much on the line for all of us.
Our Veteran Services Program includes a wide range of services and resources for veterans and their families, all designed to help them make a smooth and rewarding transition to civilian life.
We can’t say “thank you” enough to our warriors and their loved ones for all the sacrifices they have made to protect our freedom. In appreciation for all they’ve done, we provide classes, counseling and veteran benefits navigation so our heroes and family members can receive timely and practical support as they adjust to their new lives. Among these services, GIMV assists individuals in obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment.
We believe in eliminating barriers to jobs for veterans and their families by providing support or finding support from partnering organizations in the following areas:
- Benefits navigation
- Counseling
- Financial education
- Housing programs
- Job training and placement
- Mental and physical health services
- Transportation services
If you served in the U.S. armed forces, thank you for your service. For more information on our Veteran Services Program, we invite you to click below, tell us a little about yourself and include your contact info. A member of our team will respond to you soon.
2020 Vision: GIMV Building Veteran Services Center

Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley has made a commitment to eliminating the frustrating bureaucracy that many times delays or prevents veterans and their families from receiving hard-earned, much-deserved benefits and support. Our vision: a single, state-of-the-art facility that includes all of the services and resources we provide to military heroes and their loved ones.
We have partnered with Platoon 22 on a $2 million capital campaign to build a new veteran services center in Frederick, Md. The 20,000-square-foot center will house more than a dozen staff and strategic partners, all committed to serving veterans efficiently, effectively and graciously. We expect to open the center in late 2020.
